The bible says' in Proverbs 14: 1 The wise women builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.
Now I know that homemaking seems to be a subject far off the radar for some of you but this is a responsibility given to you by God! Often times we want to avoid the inevitiable which is to own up to the place value of where we've been positioned in regarding our homes, marriages, singleness, and christian walk.
Some of you say well, I cook, clean, do laundry, run a business, go to school, in charge of a ministry within your church, caretaker of elderly parents, you name it we've all had the opportunity to be used in one of these capacities young or older! We are exhausted and weary some of us, we fill let down by God because we don't see the fruits of our labor, it feels as if all we do is in-vain. Society says staying home and caring for a family is lazy unless you happen to give up a corporate high-end paying job and decided well now that all is perfect I can afford to have a baby.
There is not only no mistake in your position in life because God is in control of it all even for those of you who haven't made a conscious decision of trusting the Lord as savior of your life, he's aware of it all! Take control of your home by;
1. Consistent reading of God's Word and prayer life
2. Christian woman mentor to encourage you
3. Read other resources of christian books, articles, etc to help aid you in home management
4. Write down your goals daily check off what you accomplish, make a new list with those you don't complete.
5. Invest in tools, resources, for your personal spiritual growth!
P.S. My sister aside from God in heaven, no one will make the investment into your spiritual account but you!
Wow !! Great post. I believe and I am seeing where we as women, mothers and wifes need to be. I am striving to be at home more with my children and I will.God is in control and he will give you the desires of our hearts if we delight in him
ReplyDeleteThanks for the words of encouragement
To get your house in "order" as a wife, mother, or woman is a mission that requires commitment and dedication. This a timely message for me as well for many women. We must set ourselves apart as women and seek the Lord for his guidance and strength. As a woman on a mission to get my house in order I have decided to follow Jesus and there is no turning back, it is important that we rest on His word that we can do all things through Christ which strenthens us.
ReplyDeleteIn order to clean up, we must lay aside every weight that so easily besets us, and keep our eye on the mission at hand.
Thank You for your message "I must be a wise woman who builds her house on a firm foundation"
